Apple Siri has come a long way since it started. Some of the most useful stuff, however, is the day-to-day commands you can speak into your phone/watch/whatever accessory supports the product.
Here are my most-commonly used commands, in rough order of popularity.
Set a [x] minute countdown
Set a reminder for [x] minutes
Set an alaram for [time]
, where time can be something like 8 AM
What time is my first meeting tomorrow
Play song [name of song]
Play album [name of album]
What song is this
Call [person name]
Call [person name] on WhatsApp
FaceTime [person name]
Message [person name] on WhatsApp, [message text]
Read my last message from [person name]
Tell [person name] that [message]
What time is it in [city name]
(handy to know whether you should call or text)Share my ETA with [person name]
Start an [activity]
like outdoor walk
or 30 minute outdoor run
How much is [simple math]
, where simple math can be something like 8 times 13
Convert [number] [unit] to [unit]
, for example 3 miles to kilometers
Find my iPhone
Find my watch
There are multiple was of saying these, but I usually stick with a handful to make sure I get consistent results.
Happy voice commands!
