Around mid-December, after 19 years and change, I left Microsoft. It was my privilege to work with operating systems, data access stacks, query processors, compilers, graphics and computer vision systems ("models to pixels and pixels to models!"), cloud services ... Not bad for a recent graduate who was coming to the US for three to five years to work at the biggest software company in the world.
Multiple phases of my life went by while working at Microsoft, and for the support of all my colleges and friends, I'll be forever grateful.
I take with me tons of memories - of hard work, good times, fun tech, and above all shared moments with smart and kind people.
Obligatory last badge shot - the third one for me (the first one died when I jumped into the ocean during my honeymoon, but that's a story for another day).
Note: this was originally posted on LinkedIn, where many generous people left kind remarks.
Happy journeys!
